After fifteen years in the New Zealand and UK education systems in roles ranging from Technical Institute lecturing, to Head of Department, and Housemastering, Lyn moved into corporate business.

For ten years he held a number of middle and senior management positions within the horticultural industry. These included Planning and Development Manager for Manukau Horticulture, National Field Manager and subsequently the Marketing Development Manager for Turners and Growers. While employed with the New Zealand Kiwifruit Authority, Lyn was responsible for initiating and co-ordinating the Quality Assurance education programme for the Kiwifruit industry throughout New Zealand.

Lyn has been a Learning and Development Consultant for over ten years, implementing training needs analyses and designing and facilitating staff development programmes in Leadership, Management, Teambuilding, Coaching, Marketing Development, Negotiation, Customer Service, Total Quality Management, Quality Assurance and Sales.

Lyn's four key clients are The Radio Network, Fletcher Aluminium, Pacific Coilcoaters, and Nuplex Environmental. Lyn has worked with these organisations in different capacities. With The Radio Network and Fletcher Aluminium Lyn's work involves Leadership and Team Development. With Pacific Coilcoaters, Lyn facilitated their Strategic Planning process, and with Nuplex Environmental Lyn coached and worked on their Senior Team Development.

Lyn is a keen sportsman, having played rugby to senior representative level and premier grade cricket, with extensive coaching experience in both of these sports. He is married to Merrilyn and they have two children, Rhys and Rhianwen.
